What Equipment Does Ryan Kesler Use?

What Equipment Does Ryan Kesler Use?

In honour of the Vancouver CanucksRyan Kesler coming back from injury, we thought that we would take a look at the equipment he uses in the NHL.

If you look at this photo, you can see that he is wearing either Bauer APX or x60 pants.

Next, we can see that Ryan prefers to wear a Bauer 5100 helmet. Although it is styled the same as the Bauer 9900, it has different padding on the inside. The 5100 features Dual Density Foam as opposed to the Fused Expanded Polypropylene Liner of the 9900. He also prefers an Oakley visor, small straight.

A little bit of a long distance shot but you can see the padding on the inside of his helmet is Dual Density Foam.

As one of Bauer’s main endorsed players, Ryan is one of the faces of the Nexus line. He has been sporting the new Bauer Nexus 1000 Skates and Bauer Nexus 1000 Stick since last season.

He has also been partial to the Vapor line and this continues with his choice of gloves. He is currently using the Bauer APX gloves.

This one is a little hard to see and I couldn’t find a better pic, but you can see the old Easton logo on Ryan’s shoulder pads hung up behind him in the press scrum. I have seen them closer on TV and they are Eastons for sure. What model? I believe them to be similarly styled to the ST series from a few years back. The NHL mandated the shoulder caps have a foam added to them and as a result a lot of players only changed the shoulder caps. This may be the case for Ryan.

Finally one last pic of Kesler taping up his Bauer Nexus 1000 Stick.

Please let me know if you think that I have miss labelled anything. And please feel free to leave a comment below.

Edit:

I have found another shot of Kes in the locker room. It appears that he uses RBK shins and elbows. Its hard to see what style though.
